The Alfa 6 was originally launched in a four door three box style in 1979 a second series was launched in 1983 with minor change including square headlights to replace the dual circular originals, new bumper and also a redesigned grille. A three speed automatic version the ZF was also available as an option. A cheaper tax option was also introduced, a 1997cc 135Bhp version of the 2.5 V6 engine.
